Mid-Century

I decided to try and use that bed in a Mid-Century styled room. I happened to be redoing a townhouse, and I thought it'd be a nice change of pace.

This is your view when you walk in the room - hardwood floors, built-in-storage and a few Picassos on the wall. I did this as guest room in a townhouse in the early 60's.

Beautiful room Cuban Jew Smile
I love Mid-century and from the looks of it, it also feels as though it's got a bit of a 1920's jazz kick to it...at least to me lol Wink

WANDI: Great job with the shabby chic style, all of the lace and quilt work make it look strait out of a country estate, it also looks very "tweenish," even with the larger bed (I find the double beds difficult to work with in kids rooms) so you nailed the look you were going for. One of the best parts for me was that I actually could read part of your original post which means that my spanish classes are working! :D

Moxxa: I don't own the sims 2, but from what I understand you can't CAS in it, which means that this room is even twice as amazing as before! It looks so beachy and relaxing, like you could go in, take your shoes off and pass out on one of the beds with one of those cabana fans rotating above you, great work!

Cubanjew: Your room definitely has that midcentury feel to it, the dark woods and the leather lend that sort of heavy tone that a lot of Mid-Century homes have, but the floors and walls manage to break it up and leave you with that nice, homey feel to it, and of course the bed fits in quite nicely, good job!
