That is just wonderful! Don't it surprise you how little furniture EA thinks is a decorated room? You really changed this room from a boring empty drag to a wonderful home. Love the colours you used they fit your sea coast theme very well.

So I decided to re-decorate the "marsh mansion" at 153 Herschel's Pond Road, Twinbrook, unfortunatly I didnt take as many before-pics as I would have liked to, but this house is worth checking because the floor plan is perhaps one of the best I've seen by Maxis.

I am re-doing this house for Jaqueline, or Jack for short. She inherited this house from a uncle and after seeing the location she fell in love with the marsh and sold her apartment to finance the renovation.

Kitchen area

The kitchen counters were restored, keeping the gorgeous old wood countertops and one of the counters was modified to include the oven. Stencils were applied all over to brighten the rooms feeling and the walls were painted with a lovely teal colour. The old garage door was removed, as it made no sense to have one on a house on foundations, and replaced by a set of windowed running-doors.

Entrance / Dinning area / Living Room

The staircase was in good shape and it only took some heavy cleaning to reveal the gorgeous stone it was made off, the old dinning table had a short leg, but it had sentimental value so she had it cut in half and applied shelf-brackets so it could be used as a hall-table in the entrance area. The wall-shelfing was somehow new so it didnt need any woork but the bookshelf had to be restored and is now in the entrance area holding all of Jack's shoes and bags. The couches were reupholstered and the old chimney cleaned. She keeps her uncles old work boots by the chimney because she couldnt get herself to throw them away.

Nahemah do you use the ingame camera OR a screen prints?
The ingame camera in sims 3 actually give you the better pictures colour and light wise. Screen prints tend to be very dark and dull - it is really strange but that is how it is.
