Beginner Overview pictures - Sims 3
#1
Almost every challenge requires you to take an overview of your room or house. We ask this because it gives us a great sense of where everything is in the room. But taking overview pictures is not as easy as it sound.

Take the picture in live mode and use cameraman mode (press Tab once).

Now tilt the camera up so you look straight down into your room, not half tilted (see Bad 1).

Now zoom in (hold down Z) in to the house all the way (yes that sounds strange). If you just zoom out you end up with a result like Bad 2.

Once you have zoomed in all the way, press E to move the camera up from the room. This will give you the result you see in Right.

Now make sure we can see all of your room/house and crop away the parts we do not need to see.

Bad 1
Here the image needs to be cropped and the camera has not been tilted up all the way, so that we look down into the room at a 90 degree angle. This image also really needs cropping.

Bad 2
This has been tilted correctly but because of the way we have zoomed out the walls and everything inside has stretched upwards.

Right
This is tilted correctly and zoomed in.

Credit to Kiare for figuring this out!
