I got IP and installed it and immediately started building in Isla Paradiso. I placed a dock for a boat, and put the appropriate "parking" area (I can't remember what its called right off the top of my head) and bought a speed boat for my sim. Finished building, went into live mode and the boat disappeared. I replaced the boat and it happened again a little later on.
Has anyone else had this happen? My game is fully patched. I do have a ton of CC, but everything was working fine prior to installing IP.
Did you check your sims personal inventory?
I have not seen the boats parked anywhere, they always seem to just appear when needed.
Have you tried clicking somewhere away from your current location and telling them to go there (not move the houseboat there)? There will be a boat that will show up, I'm curious as to whether it would be your new boat or a "cab boat".

@mrmiss- Usually the very first thing I do when I actually do play live is to send my sim to town to take any skill classes they might need. I did that this time and it was a cab boat that showed up to take my sim to town. I'll test the game out some more today and see if the boat still disappears.

Blah -- I've had a couple disappear completely too. They should pop back to the mooring/boat trailer or personal inventory. I did have a couple mods in when they disappear (MC & MC cheats) -- I'm going to take them out again and see what happens.
If you're using Overwatch (the version updated to patch 1.55,) there was an issue that caused boats to disappear. Download the latest version.
Thanks megativity! I am willing to bet that's what the problem is. I'd gone to nraas and gotten everything updated right after the patch, but silly me, I didn't check back to make sure everything was working as intended.
