Just an idea...
I know "no fashion stuffs", but I was just wondering, if we take one sim with an extraordinary styles, and the challenge is to create a room which reflects his/her style.
What do I mean:
There is a sim: wears green dress, with silver accessories, and big flower in her hair... etc, the walls are green with flower pattern and silver picture frames..etc.
I think this can be funSmile

Sococo ~ I think anything that really inspires you of the location. You mentioned Paris, so if there are architectural elements that you want to bring into your space, sure! What you mentioned, wrought iron and spindly table legs would be a great start! You could play with light decorations as well to symbolize the romantic lighting of a Paris night.

It's really whatever you pull from a certain location and want to incorporate it into the space. There are no limits to what you can do because we all see things differently. Btw, I love your view for a paris sidewalk kitchen, sounds romantic.

Chi: Haha, that's something I was thinking of doing. XD I was even trying to post a new thread in the "open challenges" subforum! (Unfortunately it wouldn't let me. Sadsmile )

Dija: I rather like that idea. Like, if they had a picture of the sim from the start and we all decorated a room after it. I think putting the personality, too, and favorite color would make it even more of a challenge. XD

Shannachka Yes thats what I was thinking of.. (I definitely need to improve in explain things in detals) Wink
Challenge would look like the following
There are 2 sims (one for TS2 and other for TS3) or four if somebody prefers to have the chance to choose from males and females Smile

So we have 4 personalities, dressed up in their favorite dress, listed some informations: job, hobby, what are they doing in their free time(bookworm, party-party or something else).
I might also add a few things if those are not really obvious from their clothing( sim likes silk, natural things...)
So the idea basically:the room should reflect the clothes the sims wearing, the colors, the materials, even the shapes.

My boyfriend always raves about wanting to have a shipping container for a house. I am not always so keen on the idea, at least for a main home, but lots of other people around the world are. It might be an interesting challenge to have simmers make a home out of a shipping container. I was thinking either one container, of pre-determined proportions, or you could take multiple containers to make a home, of the same proportions each, though obviously multiple containers would make the home larger.

If you are thinking 'gosh that sounds like a hideous idea' and haven't seen shipping containers used as homes before, I suggest google or this link : )
