Advice/Opinions needed please.

Right so I'm currently building in Brightwater Bay and I've found myself a bit stuck on the school, so would like some advice or just your opinions if you wouldn't mind.

First up, just so you know, this is a Berry Sweet town, so it'll be full of different colours eventually. My problem is that I want the school to be purple and green, as you can see in the pics below, but the sign I found for it is non recolourable, which I'm not a happy bunny about Swear, so I'm trying to incorporate (mainly) the red from the sign by having flowering ivy growing up the walls, I wanted ivy anyway, but now I'm adding the red bougainvillea to help bring in the sign, but the flowers are non recolourable too Headbang
So my question is, do you think it works or should I try something else? Like maybe adding red to the windows or something, I'm open to suggestions.

Does this look a bit better, colourwise?

Wow its very bright! lol

Its hard for me to say being that they are colors i would not normally use, but maybe try the red around the frame of the window instead of the inside?

I think I would turn the green down a bit, use a less saturated version of the colour

I would make the inset door area red (with a flatter texture, not the brick) with maybe a blue frame on the door's windows. I'm not sure I'd leave the ivy and flowers or the column in front of the door (or maybe make the column blue as well).

Are you committed to purple and green? Since the sign is red, I'd think about maybe changing the color scheme, since that seems to the thing that you're most attached to (perhaps? Or maybe I'm analyzing too much. Wink).

Since it's a berry town, you can go with pretty much anything, so maybe a red'ish, berry pink for the building and a less neon green for the windows/doors (maybe turn the scale to more green/blue/white)? Just throwing suggestions out here! Like Kem, these aren't colors that I generally use, so feel free to disregard. :P

I also agree with mrmiss about the column in the front.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Smile
I think I will change the colours to fit the sign more (especially as I've found my recoloured government rabbit hole which is a more subdued purple and green)
Mrmiss and GigaRevival don't worry about the column, its only there so I can place things in that area on the first floor, mainly the sign.

That is still crazy bright - have you tried toning it down a bit?

What's a Berry Sweet town without a bit of crazy colour? Tongueout
I might end up toning it down a bit though, going to see how bright the rest of the town turns out first I think, then match the school's tone accordingly.
