Solved Wall art groups
#1
Crying I have looked all over but don't know how or even if it can be done. I know how to shift wall art up and down etc but is there a way to place them closer together in a group - I can only get them next to each other but then they touch and it does not look realistic, they keep snapping to slots and alt does not work.

Am I asking too much or can it be done?

As far as I know, objects can either slide vertically or horizontally. There is a way around these restrictions with granthes OMSP that can also hold wall art and curtains, though. I sometimes get a message that the item can't be placed then, but most of the time it works.

Hope it works for you! I still haven't figured out, why my game sometimes says "can't do that" and sometimes not - maybe it depends on the item? But it's always worth a try Smile

Tried the art with the OMSP - it works but it doesn't work enough it just basically moves it up or down same as ALT Itwasntme it still snaps to slots and disabling that doesn't affect it - wish it could get it to shift vertically. UGH.

Thank you for the advice though - I am now trying OMSP on stuff I didn't think about before!

I have a solution for you but it can be kind of tedious.

There is a mod called Decorator's Best Friend. It looks like the stuffed giraffe toy but has the function of allowing you to choose any item in the room where you place it and then shifting that object 1/100 of a square at a time in any direction. It takes some practice but once the item is placed it stays put unless you grab it and move it, and wall objects do not snap to slots when you are using it.

Just put the art pieces close to where you want them, overlapping if you need to, and then one by one nudge them into place with the DBF, it works wonders.

You can also tilt items with it easier that the tippy OMPSs too, also you can move OMPSs with it so it can be used with the resizer OMPSs as well. I just love this thing.

And the best part is it is not a script mod so it won't break your game when there's a new patch.

@mrmiss: I need that thing, thank you very much :D

@Chrisna: Hm, I did it with a curtain and a wallclock so far and it worked - but these might have been cloned from something different than paintings...
